The opportunity to travel is tempting for many young people and combining this with studying can be a more cost-effective and life enhancing means of doing so.
Immersing yourself in a totally foreign culture can prove to be the optimal way to learn a new language as you are forced to adapt quickly in your new surroundings. And ultimately taking the leap to study abroad can lead to improved employment opportunities in the future, with companies sure to look favourably on people who were confident enough to head abroad to improve their education.
Two cities within Europe stand out for me firstly as must see places, but secondly as amazing places to head to if you are looking to study abroad.
Study abroad Paris, France
First of all, PARIS, this phenomenal city really takes your breath away. Without doubt the most romantic city in the world, with some of the world’s most iconic and familiar landmarks, Paris will endlessly keep you entertained.
If you choose to study abroad Paris there is so much to explore outside of the classroom, which, if studying the native language, will only improve your understanding.
Paris is more than just the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame (although they are mightily impressive), it’s about the atmosphere, the people, exploring the side streets and bars and cafes that will undoubtedly lead to another view of the tower.
Leave at home the widespread views of rude Parisians, as once you involve yourself within the local culture and make the effort to speak French you will realise how friendly and sociable they really are.
If Paris is not you your liking and you are still looking at France as a study destination then the likes of Marseille, Toulouse or Lyon maybe more suitable. Marseille in particular is another beautiful city, perched on the Mediterranean with a beautiful climate there is much to see and do.
study abroad Rome, Italy
The city that fills second place on my list of places to study however is Rome. The ‘Eternal City’ is the perfect location for students of Italian, History, Art, Architecture, Fashion etc. It really is one of the highlights of Europe, a city where old meets new and goes hand in hand.
If you study abroad Rome for a period of time you will certainly find it difficult to leave, you will never tire of being surrounded by amazing historical sites, beautiful cuisine and even more beautiful people.
It’s important to choose the right destination for your studies abroad, but wherever you may end up, one thing is for sure; it will be a time of your life you will never forget.
